Charming Mountainside Rentals with Stunning Animas Valley Views

The home was great! The location and yard were amazing and immaculate. The weather was perfection in Durango when we went, which only added to the majesty of the yard. It was in a quiet and beautiful location. It has shared fence neighbors, but you didn’t feel close to them at all. The hosts were super responsive and gave ALL of the information we needed before check-in. Even offering tips on how to work the appliances, showers, etc. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Our family of six had a wonderful time here during a visit to the Durango area! The cabin was clean, spacious, and peaceful. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax, and the cabin had all of the things we needed for our vacation. It’s a short drive to both Durango and Purgatory. We would definitely stay here again!

The property is so precious and the outdoor area and pond feels so warm and lush, we were even visited by two deer during our very short stay. Close to a ton of very fun activities such as the Hot Springs, Purgatory and the delicious and adorable James Ranch Grill. There was a close and well stocked market that we grabbed food and cooked while overlooking the pond from the kitchen- it was picturesque! Hosts were quick to respond to needs and very kind.

Walked in and felt like home. Very comfortable. Beautiful view from the porch. A good location for us. We (family of 4) had plenty of space to be together as well as to be in our own space. About 10-15 min north of Durango and about 10-15 min south of many hikes we enjoyed. A few min from the hot springs as well. The Docs were very proactive communicating and quick to respond to questions.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We ended up renting the whole house to accommodate everyone. The host provided great directions and there was signage to help locate the house. The house was clean and bright, and we appreciate the comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, and bath amenities. Lots of thought and detail went into preparing the house for guests: there were trays for boots, hangers for coats, and every light switch was labelled so we didn’t have to walk around flipping switches! We were about ten minutes from downtown Durango and close to Purgatory ski resort. The view was wonderful, and the place felt peaceful and private. If you are traveling in summer, you will probably want to open the windows in the early evening to let the cool breeze in since the house does not have air conditioning. My teens stayed on the first floor and loved having their own space while still being in the main house. All in all, a great stay, we’d definitely stay again.

The place was clean and perfect location for our 3 day trip to Durango. We loved not being in the middle of things but close enough to everything. The price, location and cleanliness of the Doc’s place will definitely be our choice next time to Durango.

Very nice and spacious studio apartment in a quiet location not far from Durango city centre, just minutes away from hot springs, spacious terrace, all necessary amenities, including kids items, we enjoyed our stay. It would be prefect to rent the whole house for a bigger family or when traveling with friends.

The Docs' place was better than expected! We enjoyed the beautiful views with the sound of the river as we relaxed on the balcony in the evenings. Easy access. Immaculately clean with beautiful modern decor & furnishings. The beds were super comfy. Fully stocked with lots of extras. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay. The place was one of the best airbnb's I've stayed at - beautiful, clean home, lots of space, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, etc. We enjoyed the peaceful, quiet space and gorgeous views, and not being a far drive from Durango. We'd would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

We stayed in the studio located on the ground floor. It was very clean and well stocked. There was not an ironing board, when we contacted the Docs they responded immediately and one was delivered within a half hour. We also needed to extend our stay by one day, the Docs were very accommodating and prompt in responding to our request. We were very impressed and would stay here again if we are in the area.
